Dr. Phil, I have been watching your show for many years. I love it but I am disappointed every time the issue of adoption arises. I would think it would be a big red flag, yet you don’t seem to address the trama of first mothers or adoptees. I am/was a first mother at sixteen in 1969. I was fortunate that I got to meet “her.” My daughter but not my daughter and I tried to have a relationship but there was so much grief in the way. I love and respect her mother and she went through the process of adopting a child. For those couples who are looking online to adopt, I don’t have much sympathy for people who are buying a child, yet you and society have great sympathy for them. They want a white child instead of looking into the foster system to find a child to love. Dr. Phil, do a little digging about children who were relinquished. Imagine thinking all of your life that your mother didn’t want you. Most sincerely, Barbara
