The original Jeepers Creepers is without a doubt my favorite horror film. It had an original story, it was well thought out, well written and everything about it was aces in my opinion.
The sequel was okay. It didn't live up to the original but it was worth the watch and had some memorable moments.
This film though... This is a trainwreck. Actually, a trainwreck might be an improvement. There is nothing good to this film at all. It feels as though an entirely different writer was brought in to create a cash grab for the studio, 15 years too late.
Some say the film is so bad because of the budget. I've seen horror films produced on a shoestring budget that's weakest moments look better than this film's best (if there are any, that is.)
Though I don't condone the writer/director's history, I've seen a lot of films by him, such as Powder or Peaceful Warrior, which have enthusiastic writing, clever dialogue, and a story that keeps you entertained.
So either this guy just gave up on creativity, lost it altogether, or has absolutely no idea what it means to honor an original work.
