I’ve always been a fan of Mr. Rogers and my kids grew up with him but I didn’t know what to expect from this movie since it wasn’t a documentary with the real Mr. Rogers, which I greatly enjoyed.
Tom Hanks was convincing and delivered a heartfelt and engaging performance.
He portrayed an anomaly; a real and committed human being who is actually taking the time to reach out to connect with others and to take genuine interest in their struggles and triumphs.
A jaded magazine editor was assigned to interview him and was transformed from the experiences he had with this amazing man who showed him how to love and become vulnerable.
Mr. Rogers was a role model for anyone seeking redemption and peace.
