There was not a thing about this show that seemed worth the time investment to watching. Honestly, you could leave the entirety of the god vs giant plot out and basically have the same show. The conflict already has a young, angsty teen pitted against a big evil corporation because they killed his friend and are damaging the environment. Except for the fight at the end with the lightning strike, virtually nothing of consequence really came from him being a god. The acting seemed flat to me, and the dialogue seemed to have no expression in it. This was the case with both subbed and subbed versions. Perhaps the localization team was terrible, but the content of the dialogue as conveyed with the subs or in the dub was atrocious. It felt like some of the lines were placeholders that were meant to be removed in later drafts that never came. I have heard some compare this movie to Twilight, and my response to this is that I don't believe that this is being fair to Twilight.
