I’m a HUGE horror lover, from a child, horrors have always intrigued me, this is one of the most beautifully written and emotional horrors of all time, I have just finished watching the entire series for the 4th time, and undoubtedly will watch it time and time again. The story is of a house, a house that consumes its residents, a house full of so much sadness and pain, that it inflicts that on all who lives there. The beautiful and perfect Crane family purchase the house to flip it, it’s only meant to be their home for the summer, little do they know this will become their families home forever. Each episode flips back and forth through time, from the children’s childhood, to their “car crash” adult live’s, you fall in love with each character, and empathise with their pain and suffering, and the story pieces together, and finally makes complete sense at the very end, just as every amazing story should. The story line is phenomenal, the characters are played perfectly, the spfx are spot on, the costumes, makeup and sets are amazing, there’s nothing not to love. Give the series chance to start, it will entice you in until you can’t stop watching … watched it once, watch it again, because each time you’ll see something you didn’t pick up on the first time … if you don’t cry at some point, and feel completely heartbroken for the family, then I’ll be surprised. It will make you jump, it will un-nerve you, for those easily scared, it may terrify you, but the story will 100% draw you in, touch your heart, mess with your head, and empathise for the entire Crane family, as children and as adults … watch it and love it, then watch it all over again ….
