I disliked this book, i’ll be honest. But not because of the writing. The storyline just made me sob, the heart wrenching type of sob. I hadn’t cried like that in so long but good lord did it break me. My heart ached for Cady. It was just so unbelievably depressing. The characters were somewhat unlikable so I don’t know why I was so hurt for Cady. But seeing the “truth” just broke me. My one complaint truly and honestly though is:
The night they started the fire, what in their minds told them it was a bright idea to divide and conquer. They didn’t decide what time to light the fire, it was nonsense. They should have been so much more clear on the timing. It was ridiculous. But I can understand that without the “twist” the book wouldn’t have been so heart wrenching. That was my only complaint.
