I have seen the movie like 8 times now and I am so amazed at the reviews I am seeing below. The movie is quite a lovely drama and to be honest it is relatable; considering we live in a society that big men have different women scattered everywhere. The story is just what it is and its to start up a conversation that nobody wishes to talk about. Where I come from Benue State in Nigeria I've attended burials in which different women appear with kids claiming that the kids belonged to the late man. But the movie pictures a man who planned his life systematically and strategically included all his concubines in his will. For me what I took away from the movie is that Men would always be men, women would disagree but the truth is a man with affluence and influence is always prone to mis-steps. Alot of men pretend to their wives and act like they are holy. Meanwhile while they are legends outside with kids everywhere. Also I think the society and women most especially should wake up to the fact that concubines would always exist in the life of affluent men. That can not be taken away. Even men who are not as wealthy as Chief Daddy do have numerous girlfriends. Women often come attacking men for cheating and all but forgetting that they cheated with a fellow woman who consented to having an affair even after knowing that the man was married. The truth is in as much as the men are to be blamed; women should also take a whiplash on this as well for they are also guilty for consenting. In the real African sense, if a man is capable of taking care of as much women as he can; why not, he should go ahead. Before now such was obtainable. But now men shy away and hide behind the shadows; doing hide and seek and when dies the truth then comes out. I am not trying to encourage anything here but I feel men should stop the pretence. If you know you cant be with one women tell your wife or whom you intend marrying from the beginning so that she can be prepared if she chooses to stay. So that all this family wahala would stop. And if you must hide behind the shadows and still chase women; please bear in mind that these women are other men's children that need to be honored and respected. If you must hide them from your wife; hide them the way Chief Daddy did his....give them all the comfort they deserve and also make provision for them before you depart this world. And for the women if you must date a married man; know your stance and make your demands known if you decide to gave kids for him (that is if society has failed to give you your own man ohh) And make sure those demands are written sealed and stamped cause when tomorrow come words won't be enough. This is my opinion ohh and simply my review of the movie. It simply addresses one of the ills of our contemporary society that people neglect and dont talk about.....Thanks to the cast for making the movie come alive.
