The acting is top-notch. I expect to see some of these actors again on the big-screen. The special effects are top notch, too, especially for a television series. And I can even tell you that the story is intriguing. Which is why I can't understand why they hid this story behind an existing story that has very little to do with the show on the screen. Right off the bat, I get the impression that whoever created the screen play didn't like Foundation by Isaac Asimov. I also get the distinct and unpleasant taste that there's supposed to be a moral behind this story, rather than just a good romp. All of Foundation's original story was based on what science can do, but this one, instead is about the triumph of human spirit over science and how acting rash and chaotically can help you rise above the limitations of the imprisonment of society's expectations. I guess the author of the screen play didn't like Asimov's Foundation? I don't know, but you should watch it and judge for yourself.
