When I first watched Terrifier, I knew it was going to be a bit cheesy, but I like those kind of things, and it was packed with crazy situations, gore, and some really creative ways to make you go “oh my god…” Then, I found out about terrifier 2, and my boyfriend also was interested, and he found out about the movie/show before the original terrifier. So we watched it, terrifier 2, and realized that all of the movies are telling a story amidst the insane, over the top, and wild amounts of evil that Art the Clown (who I think might be a mime) would get into to. Then we went and watched terrifier 3. We knew what we were in for, and yet, we couldn’t help but be mortified and mystified. The entire story is more than just a killer. It is more than just a gore fest of insane proportions. It is a look into the mind of evil, what evil is willing to do, and how good will always try to fight back. Let me put it this way. The series is definitely lower budget. It is an insane horror fest. It rivals some other movies in terms of gore and gruesomeness. However, where it gets you, is when you realize about the overall story, and find yourself at the edge of your seat hoping and praying for Good to triumph over Evil. Every movie gets better in terms of production. Every movie gets better in terms of story. Every movie gets better in terms of showing what Art truly is. I will never NOT recommend this series. Give it a shot, and just prepare yourself. I love these movies, and I am more than excited to see the fourth movie when it comes out. If I ever saw an opportunity to be a part of Terrifier, in any of the movies, I would do it so that I could be a part of such a fantastic series that will, one day, be regarded as one of the most brilliant, interesting, and fun things to watch.

Tl;dr: Give it a legitimate chance. Realize that, while the show is different and has odd choices at times, it is true gold and will make YOUR heart stop. It isnt for everyone, but it will still tell a good story. When I first sat down to watch this show, I hated it. It was cringe and stupid and I felt like the weird animated stuff just didn't make sense. I wanted to turn it off, but promised id give it a fair shake. Finished the first one and thought... "Eh." Second episode, I got more invested. I started to feel more happy with it. I thought about how people can act when they are with someone that truly connects with them, and I thought back to my high school days, and realized this was more legitimate than I gave it credit for. The blooming friendship between the main characters was awkward and felt weird to watch, and I felt that was the point. I just really started to love the show. From episode 3 and on, I was more than hooked. Everything was such an odd mix of anxiety, happiness, annoyance, and bliss. I hated certain things, I loved certain things, and I kept going "OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD" at various parts because I felt like some of what was happening was actually possible. I remember when Nick and Charlie kissed, I tensed up just WAITING for harry (The worst actor in the whole thing. Stupid eye up and down CONSTANTLY.) to walk in on them. It kept having things happen in ways I didnt expect. I loved it. I kept thinking about it. And I had to re-watch it. It felt like such a realistic story of how someone like charlie and nick would actually be told. The journey (good and bad) that they went on. This will forever and always be an amazing first season for a show. It makes me wish I had more to go on. Just give it a legitimate chance, open your mind, and just enjoy the blooming story of so many people who grow and change and find themselves within this rather short 8 episode story. It is 11/10. I will probably re watch it for the third time again soon. My negative remarks? Horrible actor for harry. Such a stupid moronic individual. HATED Tao's haircut SO much. Imogene just... felt blah and forced.

I tried to enjoy the show as much as I could. There are some serious issues with it. These are the ones that stuck out the most. 1- a mix of decent and horrible actors/actresses. This makes it even more cringe. This is also compounded by 2, which is... 2- the writing is sub par and the English replacement/ subtitles make it even worse. . It makes things go at a very awkward pace. And it doesn’t give a real sense of urgency. 3- horrible SX. They should have gone with something a little less mask/ with glowing bulb eyes and something a little more skeletal. 4- constantly, throughout the show, it will play bits of “my country tis of thee.” For the BRITISH soldiers. Which is beyond annoying because that is an AMERICAN based song. 5- unrealistic corruption/terrorist groups. It just seemed very forced and blah. Especially the back and forth between “duty and honor, follow my commanding officer.” To “OH MY GOD NO STOP BAD IDC WHO YOU ARE.” Just don’t bother with the show.
