When I first watched Terrifier, I knew it was going to be a bit cheesy, but I like those kind of things, and it was packed with crazy situations, gore, and some really creative ways to make you go “oh my god…”
Then, I found out about terrifier 2, and my boyfriend also was interested, and he found out about the movie/show before the original terrifier. So we watched it, terrifier 2, and realized that all of the movies are telling a story amidst the insane, over the top, and wild amounts of evil that Art the Clown (who I think might be a mime) would get into to.
Then we went and watched terrifier 3. We knew what we were in for, and yet, we couldn’t help but be mortified and mystified. The entire story is more than just a killer. It is more than just a gore fest of insane proportions. It is a look into the mind of evil, what evil is willing to do, and how good will always try to fight back.
Let me put it this way. The series is definitely lower budget. It is an insane horror fest. It rivals some other movies in terms of gore and gruesomeness. However, where it gets you, is when you realize about the overall story, and find yourself at the edge of your seat hoping and praying for Good to triumph over Evil. Every movie gets better in terms of production. Every movie gets better in terms of story. Every movie gets better in terms of showing what Art truly is.
I will never NOT recommend this series. Give it a shot, and just prepare yourself.
I love these movies, and I am more than excited to see the fourth movie when it comes out.
If I ever saw an opportunity to be a part of Terrifier, in any of the movies, I would do it so that I could be a part of such a fantastic series that will, one day, be regarded as one of the most brilliant, interesting, and fun things to watch.
