Extremely bad movie. As stated by other reviewers.
Of course some scenes may make us feel nostalgic, which is highly appreciated.
But all characters are totally different from what they are in the game.
I know that the film maker wanted to pick actors due to their "performing skills" but that also was a failure. I do not know if it the actors/actresses abilities that have to be questioned or what writers wanted them to so but it was a big failure, so i do not want to judge anyone's abilities.
As a big fan of RE since the first game on Sega Saturn, it was overall a disappointment, even though I can appreciate some easter eggs, but that do not cover for all failures.
All characters' relationships are messed up and are really out of their game's counterpart.
Where is Barry?
Since how Wesker was working for money?
Since when Leon was such a good for nothing (he was a rookie yes, but in that movie he really is a good for nothing...)
I know that the film maker wanted to innovate or delivers a nice experience, but if he was expecting to please fans, it was a big mistake in my opinion of course.
Fans (in my opinion again) would have wanted actors that actually would have looked like their counterparts and played well (i would have been so pleased just to see Julia Vosk for even one second for example) and would have been faithfull to their characters.
Otherwise don't tell viewers that this movie would be as accurate as the game...
Anyone who did not played the game may find some good entertainment for a friendly horror night, when you just wanna relax. It would be okay from that perspective.
But for fans who are expecting something similar to the game well... I do not speak for everyone, but have no expectation, you may only be surprised, in a good or a bad way.
