I watched the first six episodes. It's not as bad as I thought based on what I as in the trailer. It's more a comical satire of the original show that a reboot, though it stays true to the original storyline. I wish there was a slightly more serious tone and style like the 2011 reboot, but if it is what the kids like, then let them enjoy it I say.
The animation is really nicely done.I love the stylized action scenes and how fluid everything looks. I'm just not a huge fan of the character designs, I think they look a bit too much like marshmallows for my taste. The writing is not completely to my taste as well. The story doesn't take itself too seriously and the humor is a bit of a lame mix of corny 80s one-liners and contemporary random silliness, which I love separately but don't seem to mix well in this case. I think if the show took itself a bit more seriously but still with lots of comic relief, (something like Steven Universe) I think I would like it a bit more as a Thundercats reboot.
I am glad the show is keeping the series alive and updated, but I am still hoping for another good reboot show or movie akin to the 2011 version in the future.
