Ironically enough, coming from Marvel who’s cinematography is impecable, the lighting in this game is insufficient. As in: the understanding of the dynamics and physics of this phenomenon is basic. Fire won’t give light to dark areas neither will other sources of light, leaving fighting areas and other important surfaces in pitch black color. It doesn’t help that the day or night are imposed on the missions. The gimmick of the attires is in my opinion a nice feature but a current one in games; and a tired one to this point in my opinion. I believe that in fighting games as such the gamer would enjoy more a an apex of power and abilities were all perks are combined.
I also believe that the story is flat and obvious, maybe we’ve seen too many version and it would have been better to have Holland as a character, placing the story as an Origen one, the chapter we haven’t seen in this re-enactment. I think that would have bring more significance to the games story line in marvels universe.
The music crescendo as Spider-Man gains spread while swinging is a nice touch.
The fighting is interesting reviving some of the old arcades tricks nevertheless I feel it’s frustrating since guns are almost impossible to through away, forcing the AI to pick up the gun and shoot you again, it’s just silly, the difficulty seems imposed by game mechanics and not the ability that we’ve all seen Spider-Man show-of.
The game becomes repetitive soon enough.
Worth it for he price it goes by now, the way Spider-Man swings is really gratifying, but in my opinion they could have done so much more with this.
