Just watched S18E11 “Beer Here” Not to take anything away from the winner BUT the runner up made a custard sort of dessert that he deemed perfect as he took out of the blast chiller. By the time they served it to the judges, it was melted. Judge Scott was appalled that he would be served melted custard and Ted asked the contestant if he asked anyone to hold it in the blast chiller until it was served to the judges. WHAT!? In all my years of watching CHOPPED I never heard this as an option! The judges receive melty ice cream all the time and no one (Ted) ever said or asked them if they asked their dessert to be saved in the blast chiller. The poor male contestant was cheated! I’m getting pretty darn tired of CHOPPED! The judges expecting perfection, the seemingly rule changes, favoritism. I wish they weren’t able to watch the contestants cook and then we would see how good the judges really are. It is easy to judge when you get to see EVERYTHING the contestants do, good or bad. UGH!!
