Let me start off by saying, these reviews are the “Yelp” for video games. You only write a review when you find minor issues and pretend the game is somewhere between unplayable and terrible. You can tell they never touched Skyrim.
I will touch good points first because that’s what you look for in a game. None of the bad points are relevant to the greatness of the game. Most 1 stars are just gamers that want unreal perfection AND MORE.
1) Co-op. Yes it’s 1 player per system and it’s online co-op. There are legitimate reasons most games do not offer it and it’s unfair to pin that on this game. 4 players can go thru the story. Story is phenomenal, ALOT of cosmetic options for everything, large weapon pool, many vehicles, difficulty adjustments can be changed during the game, there are a lot of elements you can change to make it harder or easier and it doesn’t affect everyone in the party. Most people complaining have everything on easy and definitely have maximum resources. If you want enemies to eat entire magazines and more, this ain’t the game for you. Its an unrealistic desire. The map is HUGE and there’s a lot to do. Can easily lose days at a time playing this masterpiece.
If you’re alone you can play with bots. But, the game offers a “free pass” meaning up to 3 of your friends who do not own the game can download the free trial version and play the entire game with you. What more can you ask for? There’s more than enough content in the game.
PVP) Not every game is going to be like call of duty. I.e, Rainbow six, apex, rogue company etc… again, it’s just something you have to experience and judge for yourself. People will find one thing and complain when really, it’s just them not being as good as they think.
———————The “bad” ——————
So, as any game would have some… there are bugs. They are not that bad nor were they ever. You’ll occasionally get a bug that freezes your game but, it’s happens less frequently than your console/PC kicking you out of another game. It’s exaggerated to say it’s unplayable. And usually those things happen because of elements in their own control. It does happen but not as they’re saying it does.
You also get occasional cosmetic problems like something kinda flickering or rubber banding but that’s also not common. Even if it was again, it’s not game breaking.
One thing that sticks out you may notice, you shoot an enemy and they don’t die. Blood splatters but nothing else. Sometimes they’re stuck in place and you can just run up and grab them. It’s not something that destroys your experience. He can’t spot you in this case usually. This also rarely happens.
All I can say is, you have to try the game for yourself, do not let these “Yelp” reviews discourage you from this purchase. It’s worth it, it’s fun and it has plenty of stuff to do. Not having split screen or being bad at the game isn’t a reason to hand it one star or shove it in the trash, that’s just toxicity.
Edit-
Also I don’t know how or who said it… this game is in no way shape or form pay to win. That’s ridiculous and absurd. That’s like saying fortnite is pay to win. How tf?
