Honestly, I truly wanted to like it because of the actors and actresses involved in this project. However, even though it was well acted, it was to me, not actually about anything really. It lacked cohesion to the actual structure of a story. I can't believe it had no real story. This film talked about one day of her life. Even with Levee, where were the necessary visuals of the story he told? I mean, especially, in the scene where you see Levee was all talk, failing miserably to handle the very people, he claimed he could handled. Which was clearly evident by the thief singing at the end. Wow! Last, but surely not least, all that cursing God, was a lot to take in for a movie that was not actually good.Even if I understood the questioning of God due to his level of pain, it went overboard. That type of overboard, one should perhaps, pay closer attention to the author, it seems more like a deeper personal question. In any case, I am so baffled by the nothingness of it all. It just seems like a rush job where somebody failed to do more homework. This movie definitely makes me believe that they knew very little about Ms.Rainey. I am just so disappointed.
