Likely an unpopular opinion but not having read any of the Dark Tower novels,I enjoyed this film on it's own merit.The three lead actors were great, Matthew McConaughey making a enjoyably cold and brutal villian.

Wow! Just watched this film on Netflix and found myself enthralled, scared and horrified right up until the end. My sense of unease whilst watching did not abate. Get Out is the first film in an age that has made me feel this way. This film draws you into the experiences and emotions felt by the main character, Chris as he embarks on his weekend from hell whilst going to meet his girlfriend's parents. Superb acting by all and this clever and unsettling film has a deceptively simple premise which also explores the issue of racial stereotypes and prejudices. Hats off to writer/director Jordan Peele for coming along and showing the formulaic and cliched horror/thriller film world how it's done.
