I was so stoked for this remake. I loved the original and convinced myself the " very important" change would make it fresh and scarier. Nope. I found it much,much worse than expected. It seems at one point it just forgets the book completely. I understand the need to update. To keep material fresh. But to me the ENTIRE movie strayed so far from the book by the middle, that at the end I forgot what movie I was watching. Do yourself a favor. Wait for it to come to Netflix.
