Pretty preachy, full of anachronisms, fulfilling all the requisites of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion crowd. A great disservice to Jane Austen that can only satisfy the uneducated minds of this age. Quite disappointing.

Really boring and confusing. Who believes that Nicole can still play a 35 year-old? Get real! Lucile Ball was very expressive and Nicole can’t even frown anymore…aren’t there any other good actresses in the right age-range? Also, her Lucile seems have to little or nothing to do with the real Lucile, from what we can see in actual interviews. Anacronism is the main fault of this movie. It’s discombobulated and seems to also miss the mark on why we should care about any of it…the scenes are painfully detached from each other, they seem to have wanted to show 500 things at the same time. Bad rookie mistake, unbecoming of such a well-seasoned group of people. Avoid it, please. It’s 90 minutes of your time that you’ll never get back.
