When I read the novel three decades ago, I felt this story, if filmed as it was narrated, could fetch international acclaim. When I learned it is made as Asuran I decided to watch the movie. I feel the story is twisted for commercial reasons. The psychological change of the youth from violence to peaceful life is not brought as done in the novel. Otherwise it is good movie.
