Minor spoilers ahead. Unnecessary songs and poor casting. Also, anyone with a basic understanding of history will know that this film is full of errors. For example, the Portuguese viceroy ordered to kill Kunjali "the French way" using a guillotine. The French revolution, best known for its use of the guillotine, happened during the year 1789 whereas Kunjali was rumored to have been executed in the 1600s. Either the Portuguese had time machines or the writers couldn't resist adding this dialogue conveniently ignoring the incompatible timelines. And Portuguese speak English!?!? Magic! A bunch of villagers running around in the war scenes were very, very poorly shot and almost cringe.
