Let’s hope Harry’s next book is “Spared, How I am enjoying a healthy life free of toxicity and backstabbing”.
1) Harry delivers as if he has been narrating for years….. his timing, expressiveness and soft voice were spot on.
2) His version of the family’s deal with the devil (press) and their upending each other for positive coverage is totally believable. I remember reading 30 years ago how Charles resented Diana for eclipsing him.
3) I’m gobsmacked at the extent of the racism they endured with no intervention from the palace. In todays world there should be zero tolerance of that type of conduct. Aside from the other examples of abhorrent behavior, that alone shows how anachronistic the royal family is. I’m disgusted.
4) All of this talk about their charities and charitable work has me thinking….. it’s merely a trade off for the lavish lifestyle of palaces, servants, foot men, custom gowns, privilege. I doubt any of them could give a fig if they weren’t rewarded with the largess they enjoy on a daily basis. Yet, MM was doing charitable work long before she met Harry, no less without the press coverage and fanfare.
5) I pride myself in keeping an open mind yet before the Netflix series and Spare, I too was unconsciously being swayed by the negative coverage. “Who cares” what the spoiled actress and Prince were griping about? This has been eye opening even for this old girl.
6) Hopefully, with him on this side of the pond, the rest of them can turn their fangs into destroying each other. Good riddance.
