I couldn’t help myself, I read the lackluster 1&2 star reviews after watching and enjoying this film. The pace, romance and historical liberties that these reviewers took issue with were to me, what made this film a breath of fresh air. The themes overarching and intertwining were lovely and thought-provoking, the metaphors tasteful, and the pace more lifelike than most movies are these days. This movie made me feel some thing(s)! and was more like reading a good book. it took me out of my own life for a brief while. Two hours I guess, though I didn’t even realize. Like most good books, I did not want this endearing film to end. Sweet dreams all you 1&2 star snoozers, I’m sure mine will be sweeter.
