I never watch the view. However, as. I was clicking through stations, I stopped to see what they were saying about a gay presidential candidate. As a gay man, someones sexuality should not be an issue. Most Americans would agree. Nobody cares. Sex life should be private. It should not define you. But when you announce it to the world, it does define you. Think the candidate would have been better served to keep it private, although it would have come out eventually. Be who you are, but remember, being yourself will prevent you from getting certain jobs. You have to be realistic. And I also think the LGBT community would be better served if mainstream media would stop throwing it in everyones face every you turn around. Look at the backlash (hate) from all the transgender exposure. Nobody really cared until it became an issue. This country has bigger fish to fry. Kids are hungry, people are homeless, folks need healthcare insurance, etc. We already have more liberties and civil rights than any other country. Another thing that hurts the ratings of the show, stop hating on the president. Not one of my favorite people, but still the president. I use to watch the show. The disrespect for the president and the office he stands for, enough for me to stop.
