Excellent news and sports coverage over the years. Good mix of personalities giving entertaining coverage. Coverage is not politicalized like CNN or FOX in the USA. Staff turnover is is concerning and the new male anchor (Phil Perkins) is as dry as dirt. He was dull on CHCH and continues in his new role. Too bad because we do like this program.

I liked it in the beginning, but then they got too political. If I wanted politic, I’d watch the news or a soap opera, which I don’t. The action and how they deal with the calls, the stress of the calls and the impact on their lives is what it started out as. Going to a fire or accident didn’t make Hen a black lesbian not Choi a Korean. The mad die marital saga could have been a sidebar rather than covering multiple episodes. I want to like the show but if it continues as a soap opera, I’m tuning out.
