Not a huge win in the battle of ideas. Rubin likes to portray himself as someone who has “left the left”. When in actuality, he’s just a grifter who panders to his right-wing audience. He coined the term “regressive left” because he believes the left is strictly just a bunch of pink-haired college students who want to stifle his free speech. None of his grievances with the left are substantial or policy driven. Keep in mind, I actually used to be a fan of Rubin until I realized how much of a smooth brain pleb he is. He has no integrity or backbone, he’s just in it for the money. I feel bad for people who read this book and thinks he’s a genuine person. Because he’s not.
