I thoroughly enjoy Cusslers work, especially anything with Dirk Pitt or Isaac Bell. If you want a rollicking read check out The Chase! You'll have to put it down occasionally to catch your breathe. This however, to me, is a Craig Dirgo novel with Clives name on it. The style, the pacing, the plotting, none of it is in true Cussler form. It is disjointed and hard to follow with too many characters. Too unbelievable and the finale in very underwhelming. It's about 50 pages too long. I think Clive had the original idea and let Craig loose with it. Is it any wonder Clive didn't co-author with him again?

A real grower, the more listens the more you love it. The songs flow beautifully and the lyricism is pretty deep for someone still so young. A lot deals with loss, and addiction, with honeyed vocals and biting steel guitars creating a sultry country pop album well worth a listen.
