So, I grew up in the US. When I was young, my mom would read to me multiple times a day. She became bored with regular, American, children's books almost instantaneously and thus went in search of some new books that might interest her as well as me. When she found this book as well as others in the series, she was intrigued, and purchased them. Now, dear reader, we purchased the questionably translated versions of these books. I am not entirely sure if there has been a new translation with any attempt at localization, but I highly doubt it given their relative obscurity. I can not, in good conscience, recommend these books to your children, as I have never undergone a psych evaluation to understand what exactly the strangeness of these books did to me. But, I can, with absolute certainty guarantee that Benny and The Binky as well as its sequels will be infinitely more interesting than any child appropriate picture book in these United States.
