The joy, extasy, sadness and humor in the novel are ⁸overwhelming at times! The raw emotions are indicative of our universal vulnerabilities! Even though father Momo displayed an unmatched aura of virility and strength throughout the novel, his wife Khedija maintained time and again an even temperament that held the family together. She is the glue and the fabric that held the family together. She is, perhaps, the reason why the family stayed close together!
