Fun sci-fi adventure. Too much emphasis is placed on ground breaking new material. Damn near everything these days is a recycle/reboot of something else. Enjoy it for what it is, a serialized adventure, or don’t. Many good series take the first season or two to get it’s “sea legs”. I would like to see this show get a chance. For those who hate it, pass then. There are plenty of shows to watch if this is not for you. I personally do not place a lot of stock in movie critic reviews. All of them seem driven by whatever social political agenda is important this week. If the movies conforms to the flavor of the month, then it is given high praise, otherwise it’s consigned to the trash bin in favor of the next “social break through” commentary. Sometimes a Sci-fi should just be fun sci-fi. No agenda or huge ground shaking statement. Critics need to get over themselves.
