A poorly written script, with so many plot holes, it verges on the ridiculous at times. For example, unreasonable and very poorly conceived last minute rescues abound, all from seemingly impossible scenarios. Over and over they occur, giving the viewer little reason to hold onto his/her suspension of disbelief. A disappointing result overall. Poor CGI. Poor dialogue. Poor choices. It could have been epic, however, especially given a better script and placed into the hands of a producer or two who actually understood and respected the original material.

Sadly, this movie features just one meaningless explosion, after another, of which, by the way, the lead character annoyingly emerges unscathed each time. Yawn. Yep, not even a scratch on her. So much for suspension of disbelief. It's as if Michael Bay directed. Unfortunately, and partly because of this - despite the amazing special effects, this movie has no heartbeat. Nothing stings. Nothing emotes. Even the attempts at humour are downright unimpressive. Both the Black Widow character & Ms. Scarlett deserved a far better script. A disappointing, tiring, been done before, ho-hum, spy film. In general, l love Marvel movies, but this has to be their weakest offering thus far.
