For me regardless of the mixed reviews I wanted and needed to see this Amy Winehouse Biopic. I was more of a follower than a classified fan, never bought her music, but listened to it on the radio and was always interested in her .Sadly I never saw her live, but this film gave me the perfect passport to her talent, style, personality, relationships with her Nan, Blake and her father. I found it a real insight how she came to fame and how her life panned out with her addictions to drink, food and love. She was a complex soul, that never deserved to die so young. The casting was impressive and Marisa played an excellent role in portraying Amy. An emotional and powerful watch. I would recommend watching this film and making your own mind up on your view. For me, I am grateful that it has been produced and will forever stay in my mind as well as the beautiful person and music she gave us.
