* Contains Spoilers* What started out as a riveting suspense thriller lost it's steam in the last half of the movie. When the truly insane suspect is finally revealed, and Bunny Lake becomes a reality- that's when it goes over the top. Brother or no brother, crazy or not crazy, most mother's would've be- bopped him over the head with a vase when he commences to try and strangle the child with his necktie. Not this mom. She decides to play children's games with him to avoid her daughter's eminent death. This is where the premise of the whole movie takes an unfortunate turn. Would've been better if during Blind Man's Bluff she popped him over the head with the shovel he was going to use to bury Bunny. Now THAT'S a great ending!

I've read the 1 star reviews on here with people using words like " awful" and " bad" and " cringe worthy". While those terms count, I think this deserves much better terminology in a review - horrific, potty humor at it's finest, potty MOUTH, disgusting, abhorrent, blasphemy, irreverent---just for a few. You always know a movie plot is going to be really "cringe worthy" when the entire movie relies on foul language and/ or sex to keep the thing rolling for 2 hours. Shame on MCU AND Disney for duping people into letting their kids watch this cesspool of film endeavor. It's child abuse.

I feel Helix coming on. I started watching the series Helix years ago, and at first it was good - couldn't wait for the next episode. But after awhile, it went from ridiculous to sublime in that those people were trapped in Antarctica with no way out, and yet people kept SHOWING UP. Reminded me of Gilligan's Island. Same thing with From- it started out strong, but already into the 2nd season it's just became ridiculous. I don't understand why the people who write these horror/ sci-fi series drag them out like this, after the whole premise is gone. It'd be better to make a limited series out of it, with a beginning and an end.Like maybe for example, all of the characters find out they're in hell at the end. That's what it's starting to feel like, anyway.

We really got into this toward the beginning - seemed gritty and authentic. Even when the main character telling the story fell for the cowboy and was going to marry him- and then he died- well, authentically could very well be possible no happy ending there. But it lost me to some degree when she met the Commanche warrior and - WHAT? beat him in a horse race? ( yeah, right) and abruptly it was love. Hey- HELLO - what happened to the undying love and devotion for the cowboy? Started to feel like a Harlequin Romance more than a gritty movie about the hardship of a pilgrimage through the west. Clincher for me though was her riding around in a vest that her Commanche husband gave her as a gift- said vest looking like it might've been made in Hollywood from--- guess what! The cover of a Harlequin Romance novel. NO WAY would a Native American man back then have his woman riding around like that. Long story short - it was fun for awhile, not authentic, and rather dismal at the end , considering just about everybody died. I imagine that even the people who created this realized how silly it was getting, that's why they killed everybody off and called it a day. They should've just continued with the Harlequin Romance theme and let everybody live happily ever after.

I had hopes that this would be along the lines of the X Files. I could even deal with some of the " supernatural" occurances being real, and some being debunked as not real. To be fair, I only watched two episodes and that was enough. The second episode did it for me. A miracle of a kid coming back to life isn't a miracle, it's RACISM? SERIOUSLY? I guess it's because she didnt rise after three days in the tomb. And then the priest wannabe goes off and does drugs so he can see God? The only thing accurate about this whole series is probably the title.

It's The Wicker Man on acid. Possibly a little too weird and creepy even for me. I don't think that's a good thing. I've seen weird creepy movies in my time, but they've usually left me with a " WOW, didn't see that coming" feeling. This one was doomed to make sure it was going to be weird and creepy without the wow almost right from the beginning- but particularly after the old couple both jumped to their deaths off the cliff. Right there- that should've been when normal people left at all cost. Of course they didn't- and that's where the weird and creepy even for me comes in. You can take it from there. Who knows- maybe someday you'll even become a queen. I did dig the costumes though. There are worse things you can be dressed in than flowers. You could be cursed to have to be dressed like a Kardashian.

Good show and I realize they're trying to cover many stories in a short space of time- but I'm not very impressed with leaving out absolute fundamental elements to be politically correct and not offend anyone. I'm referring to the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Absolutely NOWHERE does God tell Abraham He'll " test" the inhabitants, then make it appear as if the angels are just being mugged. The REAL deal is that " all the men" of Sodom wanted to have sex with the angels.Lot even offered the men of Sodom his " two virgin daughters who have never known a man" in place of the angels. The men of Sodom didn't want the girls, they wanted the " men" .THAT'S why God destroyed it. If that offends homosexuals, sorry- but that's what the BIBLE says. Best to leave the whole story out then to try to rewrite it. Like I said at the beginning of the review, it was a good SHOW. But if you want the real thing, read the BIBLE. There are no shortcuts to the truth, and if you try to take one, you'll end up decieved.

Was pretty good to a point. The plagues and the parting of the Red Sea were done in a way to make them look supernatural, although they did somewhat try to sneak it in on the river turning to blood as " red algae" as some think. The defeat of the Amalekites was reasonably accurate. But then the movie started to depict Moses as some kind of flake. He keeps grabbing his head when "God talks to him" . The golden calf incident is inaccurate. Moses didn't execute those people, God sent a plague. When Moses went back up into the mountain and it appears that HE carved the 10 commandments again- that's when it lost me. Horray for Hollywood. Once again they've managed to undermine God's great power and not offend other religions as well.

This was a nice attempt to adapt the first book but the character development was crucial in the book, and almost completely lacking in the movie. In all probability they had to jam in as much as possible in an hour and a half, and much of the clarity of the book was lost in the movie due to that. It caused the movie to be shallow and not really portray the full gravity and horror of the end. The books were entertaining, but not entirely Biblical. I for one personally am not sure there will be a Rapture before tribulation. My Bible doesn't seem to indicate that, if you put the verses used to support a Rapture in the context the Bible does. The comparison with the end being " as in the days of Noah" is one example. The wicked were the ones taken away in the flood- Noah was alive and well in the ark. Once again, I say don't trust where you will spend eternity with a movie or these fictional books if you want the truth. Read the BIBLE. There are no shortcuts to the truth that's in the BIBLE.

This movie haunted me as a child. The alien was a silent, creepy thing, and the effects were( and still are) disgusting. Marin Landau does a great whacked out Vietnam vet, although his shooting ability at the main heroes makes one wonder how he ever made it back from ' Nam alive. It also gives another reason as to why it was a war we couldn't win. Worth the watch. Predator (1987) was based in part on this movie.
