Some episodes are funnier than the others. The characters all seem to grow, but I don't know if any of them will ever be tolerable all the time, other than the mom, Christine. This show won't appeal to everyone because it has a very specific sense of humor... and it starts off pretty dark, but stick with it through at least the first season and then decide what you think.
