Dear Ms. Picoult, I've enjoyed your works for some years.Thank you for your excellent skill of keeping readers engaged. Reading is something I've enjoyed doing my whole life, however life sometimes get in the way. I'm a frequent traveler, so this is usually my reading time. The pandemic has made it easy to read and escape, and I'm thankful. I just wanted to congratulate you the insightful way you presented racism. With the unrest going on in our country right now, I'm glad that I just happen to be reading this book at this time. FYI, I'm a fair skinned African American Women, soon to be 68, and interestingly enough, in your picture you look like you could be related. I was worried about Ruth in the courtroom, because Kennedy was afraid to bring up race. And looks what's happening in our country right now! Anyway, I pray you are reaching out to all of your Caucasian friends, and trying to educate them on the years of racial injustice for people of color. Keep writing, and I'll keep reading, and thank you for educating yourself and all in your circle whom are ready to listen and learn. This is our America! All of Us!
Sincerely
Mid-West Girl, living in Las Vegas
P.S. I'll soon have to pick up another one of your great reads. Be Safe!
