A twisted, wicked, quirky and funny tale full of allegories and meta humor!
Loved each minute of it. Stylish cinematography -- truly vibrant and noir gothic Sin City feel to it, fast paced script with impressive performance by lead actors and great action sequences.
Absolutely love how the lead characters don't have a name rather a symbolic representation instead --- tangerine, ladybug, lemon, white death.
Brad's journey on this train is symbolic of his tired approach with the life he's leading and his willingness to give it all up and let it go. The train represents his life that takes him from night to morning - especially the sequence when child's grandpa narrates him a story of ladybug and Japanese folklore associated with it. And the first light of the morning shine up Brad's face - indicating a certain shift of events and thought.
Brilliant screenplay and editing. Intercuts are extremely enjoyable.
Lastly with a touch of British humour to keep you company, extremely well done all in one entertainer.
Though the White Death was the only underwhelming part of the entire movie but even with it, it's a must-watch and movie of the year 2022 for me!
