Rare is a good step up from Revival. It's extremely cohesive; it flows smoothly through the whole album. I feel like this would be the perfect LP to listen to while driving or cleaning. Her voice is majestic here, and fits so well with the stripped production. You can also tell how matured she is here, from the new confidence in "Look At Her Now" to the reflections in "A Sweeter Place", she's not constantly trying to go for the good girl or sexy girl sound, as she was before. Her hooks/catchy verses improved also, but it's not perfect either: the production did get boring multiple times through the whole project and songs like "Ring" and "Fun" felt forgettable. The album overall is a must listen and is a staple already. Fantastic comeback.
