Chris Rock needs to apologize for insulting black woman who have short hair or shaved hair, especially Mrs. Jada Pickett Smith. Does Chris Rock need to demean women to propel his career? He insulted me a black woman who has short hair and a sister who had cancer and loss her hair. Do men value black women on the basis of there hair and how black women mirror people with long hair? Mrs. Smith is a talented beautiful and strong black woman. Chris Rock was a spokesperson for the Academy. Why make the hair of black women as worn by a black woman, Mrs. Will Smith, the butt of his joke? Why subject Mr. and Mrs. Will Smith at this time to retaliation and discrimination because of their prior advocacy in 2016 when he was not a nominee. Chris made a joke about them then, demeaning her talent, Now he typecasts her as only talented to play the character GI Jane, as the Academy’s spokesperson in front of the whole world. So what if she is a strong matriarch as she is like black women for thousands of years. Unless she plays a slave or some mere role, more black women have been typecasted and need to be seen as beautiful, talented and strong, as other women and not made the butt of a joke.
