I feel the need to write this review based on how awful it was. It should come with a parental warning for parents to read it before deciding if your child is able to deal with parental separation, trauma, loss, and a very upsetting plot. All issues NOT relating to what this innocent book should have been about. My son sobbed his heart out, asking many questions not related about the book, I wasn't prepared to answer and my opinion is that that JK Rowling did a very unprofessional 'u-turn' right at the end of the story to try and recoup a 'happy-ish' ending. I would give this book 0 stars, NOT what was expected from a childrens Christmas book at all, very disappointed, shame on you JK Rowling. We shall look no further than the very talented and more age appropriate kids author of Tom Fletcher in future.
