I actually found it extremely boring. I still watched to the end because I was curious to see if it gets any exciting. The entire movie is about chess, chess, chess and more chess. There is literally no other story or plot or interesting character twist going on. Having said that, the last episode was actually interesting and perhaps the best of all. I personally give an overall rating of 5/10

I read the book and also watched the 1994 version, but to be fair this 2019 version was not impressive due to filming and production issues. The story is brilliant, actors are great. However, the story unfolds in a very confusing manner, especially for someone who is not familiar with the story. It is not clear when it is the past and when the present. The overall production is poor which is a shame given the amazing choice of actors
