I love the show but I think Joan's family was being really selfish when they did not insist that she stay. What happens to her when they go back to living their lives and she's left all alone. I would have wanted my mom to find someone to share the rest of her life with so that when I'm doing my own thing she has someone to do things with. Love your family Joan but love yourself as well.
