I must have missed something, or maybe I'm just not a "true," or "real," Star Trek fan, but after finishing season three I can safely say that I've really enjoyed Discovery as a whole. Personally I feel season three was weaker than seasons one and two. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing a fourth season and more.
Perhaps I'm too easily pleased and impressed. Maybe I simply have poor taste. It could honestly be that I'm just not a very smart person. Whatever the reason may be, the entire time I've just spent watching these past three seasons of this show I actively looked for and failed to see what it is about Discovery that makes so many people so angry, what earned it so much scorn and why it's so notorious to the Star Trek community.
Then again, I literally haven't met a Trek that I didn't like, so perhaps I just enjoy Star Trek and science fiction too much in general to be objectively critical.
5/5 would watch again and am eager for more.
