At first, I was like, slap some sense into that girl because she is spending a lot of money, thinking about things like a four year old and then spending some more money on unreasonable things.. but towards the end.. well she stays the same, minimized with her spending habit but there is an uncanny relativeness to that character. We do think a lot, sometimes over the moon, and we spend money on unreasonable things as well and are afraid to face our problems in a large scale. I finally understood that she is me, she is us.. hence I loved it.. looking forward to read the rest of the books in this series.

I couldn't even summon up my mixed feelings regarding this book. When I went through the first few chapters, it appeared promising as well as interesting. The slow burn in unfurling the characters' perspective was tantalizingly good to prod us to complete the story but as the story line progresses, the characters appear to be so blunt and presented without an actual plan. So many questions are kept behind without giving a proper explanation till the end. So many unwanted characters without any proper or well defined roles and didn't even make sure to end with an absolute resolution. I just wish the book explains clearly why the first child was taken and how the second one was born and the real authentic connection with Reg's daughter Aubrey. What happened to Teena Murphy and Gloria? As well as the Howard and Barr law firm. What the heck happened to Reg and Donna? If the story is offering an open ending, then it definitely made it. with me frowning deeply on the outcomes. As a plus point, I love the character of Calliope Jenkins, how promising she occurred and silent she was only for protecting the one whom she believed, loved her.

Wide Sargasso Sea is a beautiful yet heart wrenching novel. You cannot ever view Mr. Rochester under the same light after reading this work. I was left awestruck thinking about the immense writing skills and imaginative ability of Jean Rhys to weave a novel that tells the backstory of an inconspicuous but daunting character from one of the classics. It's a masterpiece work. Truly amazing and a must read for all the lovers of classic.

This book was recommended to me by my friend . Firstly the language was bit confusing . Plot was perplexing as well . I took several days to understand why they have done it all . It is intriguing at some point . I wanted to know it better and was in need of help from someone else who had already read it .

This book is an absolute masterpiece. You swirl through various emotions of desperation ,agony, happiness . Towards the end , you just wanna cry not because it was tragical but it was overwhelming and you might feel that you wanna let your eyes do the rest of the work . If you are a person who never experienced the phenomenon of getting happy tears. I can ensure you that we can experience it
