I remember listening to this album back when it was new,was quite the groove in it's time. One thing though, it's not a as sonic as I thought it would be in this present time, but that's not to say the performances aren't outstanding, they are, also I like to mention that the artwork that CTI put out was shining, glossy album covers that you appreciated because no one else was doing that in the day,at least not to my recollection. My cover was plain ol' cardboard with a applied paper print, not the multi -ply unrecyclable card stock that became popular in the late 70's. Anyway!, the music is outstanding,as a group of young talent musicians who later go on to become some of the most popular musicians and producers of the modern era turn in a solid product as the likes of Stanley Clarke, Jon Faddis, Billy Cobbham, and Herbert Laws to name a few. And with the production of late great Rudy Van Gelder it's a sure fire hit.
