As an ambitious Indian, I could absolutely relate to this TV series. I was delaying watching it, because I was afraid that it would be too cliche and dramatic. But the dry humor, the UP dialect and the simple minded characters in this show really made it a worthy watch. The story is about a young engineering graduate who is juggling between preparing for the CAT examination and his job as a secretary at a gram panchayat in UP. What makes this show unique from the others:
Out-of-the box content. The concept is very fresh and not very alien, most young people can definitely relate to this in some way. Straightforward delivery. The episodes are short and the characters are very pious and simple, there is no cunning backstabbing, no evil/malicious intentions that we get to see in so many shows now-a-days. Taste of rural India gives the viewer a good idea of what life in Rural India is like. This perhaps is the first show EVER that I binge-watched in four hours. So I give this show a 9.5/10.
Thanks TVF, for some quality entertainment.
Waiting for Season 2.
