I loved this book As a recent convert and learning to grow orchids myself, the stories behind Eric's travels to uncover the drama, deceit, and skull-duggery in the international orchid business were compelling reading. Well documented and totally believable, it highlights the mockery of CITES in matters of flora, and the continuing political interference at all levels, creating frustration for genuine conservationists who want to save local species in the face of land clearing, for whatever is that's purpose

It helped me overcome a paralysing fear of heights. Cannot recommend it too highly
