Felt for a while like it was just trying too hard to be Bridget Jones meets Notting Hill. Sassy, snappy come backs; everyone speaks witty dialogue. But the experienced cast, even a slightly OTT Emma Thompson (who has the best line “before we eat the lesbian pudding..) get it through to a pleasant conclusion.
