“Won’t the pressure kill him if he swims out there?” scientist- “ Oh no no, that’s not how it works. He just needs to let out the air in his body.” As a huge fan of the Meg I felt plain insulted by this film. Going to the movie theaters to see the Meg is one of my personal favorite movie memories. The audience screamed, laughed, and I ate popcorn. I even bought it I loved it so much. And after seeing the trailer for the Meg 2 the trench I was like “ HECK YA!” I even thought it was going to be better than the original. But if you’re excited to see this movie know one thing (The trailer deceives you and it’s better than the actual movie) this isn’t even a shark movie! It’s about how Jonas and the crew get stuck in a trench deep in the ocean and find an illegal mining base down there! Like WhAT! Not even interesting and soooo many useless characters. I know how China is also involved in these films too, which I really didn’t have a problem with. But after awhile it feels offputting and very out of place in this sequel with current events. I even thought about the titanic sub that imploded with Jonas swimming freely underwater in the deepest parts off the ocean with no suit on. I had high hopes for this movie and thought it was going to be my favorite movie of the summer. But it is now the worst movie I have ever seen in theaters in my life.

Geez… what a snooze fest. Watched this movie on Disney+ and hoped it would be good , even with the bad reviews and… the reviews are right. This movie in my opinion is Pixar’s worst movie ever. I’m a HUGE sci-fi geek and I know my science fiction and Lightyear is definitely a big snooze for science fiction. I didn’t even like Buzz in the movie which is a shock because everyone should like Buzz!! The only characters I liked were Buzz’s space ranger friend ( sorry I forgot her name) and the cat. And it’s sad that they ruined Emperor Zurg by making him future evil Buzz. I was waiting for Zurg to tell Buzz he was his father…. And for a sec I thought he was then I was just disappointed. I really feel bad for my fellow animators at Pixar that had to work on this for years I mean I would LoSe MY MInd! While I watched Lightyear I myself was working on my personal animated short film and all I could think about the whole time was “Damn….those poor animators..”

I don’t get why people are crazy about this? Watched only one episode and thought it was boring and it lost me. I mean, when you do a show shouldn’t you probably start it? It started with a car crash and a guy killing his horse to show it mercy. To me this doesn’t probably introduce characters. In fact, no character development what so ever as I can see, and it’s the same with the plot. I don’t even know or remember there names! I guess as you watch the show further you figure it out? Also there isn’t a lot of diversity besides the native Americans and I find the female characters sexist. One female character is obsessed with sex and the other is a mother who does house duties. But don’t worry if your a white country guy you’ll like the show.
