Ever since the very first Iron Man film back in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe just kept growing over the course of 11 years. Infinity War was 10 years after the first Iron Man, and the ending with (Spoilers, but you've probably seen Infinity War already) Thanos snapping his fingers and erasing half of the universe. Now, the surviving Avengers are desperate, looking for some form of hope.
To begin with the story, we have, of course, the Avengers finding a way to stop Thanos and bring everybody that was dusted back. I am trying to be spoiler-free here, so I can't really say anything else (I am aware the spoiler ban has been lifted). What I can say is that the story is very well executed, and you truly get the feeling the Avengers are desperate. The first act is very well done with the acting, the second act is a lot of fun, and the third act is straight-up fanservice, and yes, I am a huge fan, so it was awesome seeing all of it.
For the characters, I feel 100% positive about them. The changes that have occurred all makes sense, and it's something I truly believe the characters would do, as it shows their inner conflict about themselves. Thanos changes too, and it completely makes sense. Robert Downey, Jr. is the best he has ever been in this movie, and absolutely deserves an Oscar for it. Chris Evans as Captain America is still awesome as always. Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye is absolutely fantastic. Scarlett Johansson kills it. Mark Ruffalo is hilarious. Chris Hemsworth os also really good as Thor, and has the most significant change in the movie. Josh Brolin as Thanos raises the stakes even higher. Karen Gillian as Nebula is the best she has ever been, and I felt for her like I never have before. Because of these characters, I cried. Not just cried, I was straight-up balling my eyes out. When a character in this movie dies, you feel like you just lost a family member. That's how far the MCU has come, and I cannot wait for even more of these movies.
In conclusion, Avengers: Endgame is everything I wanted and even more. Every character is amazing, and this truly feels like the end of a franchise. Thank you, Anthony and Joe Russo, for giving us a fantastic film that will stay with us until the end of time.
