This movie and its film makers had an opportunity to make this film a revolutionary blockbuster not just in terms of numbers but also in interms of cinema recognisition from people around the globe because ramayana is not mere a mythology, it is history of ancient india, and world needed to see this on a bigger screen. However, everyone from filmakers to actors didn't grasp the orginality and emotions that ramayana holds for indian public, otherwise they would have made it from a perspective of a common man in a simple and subtle way. Had they made this film like ramananda sagar did, this film would have been a success not only in india but worldwide. Sadly, the filmakers missed this opportunity and not only they blatantly made joke of our historic text and misrepresented it, but also sent a message to the world that indians themselves don't respect and understand their own holy scriptures. Having said that, i am going to binge watch ramanand sagar's ramayan on youtube, and i'll advise everyone who haven't watched it, go watch it and save your money by ditching this movie.
