Horrendous, I can't get past the casting and the fact that I don't see the pain of racism and colourism in Zoe's eyes, she has never experienced it due to her privilege and the fact she doesn't even claim to be black or resonate with Nina's struggles. If I could give this "biopic" zero stars I absolutely would, it's a disgusting display of whitewashing/blackface in the industry. I truly hope that it's remade and Nina's family is ACTUALLY involved in production the second time around. I pray that a talented black actress who resembles Nina and doesn't need to be "blacked up" or have a prosthetic nose added is casted and and is able to portray this legend as she deserves to be portrayed.... I have to add that this review is in no way meant to stick a knife into Zoe, she is a wonderful actress, just not for this very important role.
